Mother's Day Food Cruise

We will be exploring the islands of Antigua, Barbados, Jamaica, St Kitts & Nevis and Trinidad, from the heart of Coventry on Sunday 19th March 2023.

Esmie will be taking the helm and serving up well known dishes from each island, paired with their island’s favourite taster cocktail. so, we’re inviting the kids to take over the show so moms can have a break - with a little help from us, of course. 

Leave it to Esmie to do all the hard work so you can take the time together and make sure mom has a special day.

This taster menu showcases the best of what each Caribbean island has to offer and is the perfect way to spoil the special mom in your life. 

Food will set sail at 12.30pm sharp.

First stop...

1. Antigua

Dish: Pepper pot soup cooked with salt beef, coconut milk, pumpkin, spinach fresh herbs and spices.

Vegan option: pepper pot soup cooked with coconut milk, pumpkin, spinach fresh herbs and spices.

Cocktail taster: Antiguan Smile

2. Trinidad

Dish: Doubles - fried bara topped with curry chickpeas, mango chutney, tamarind sauce, hot sauce and cucumber salsa (Ve)

Cocktail taster: Trinidad sour

3. Barbados

Dish: Fungi (polenta ball) with okra smothered in a Caribbean beef stew.

Vegan option: Fungi (polenta ball) with okra smothered in "beef" like stew and cornmeal (polenta)

Cocktail taster: Bajan Sunrise

4. Jamaican

Dish: Jerk Chicken, served with rice and peas and steamed veg.

Vegan option: Jerk Soya, served with rice and peas and steamed veg.

5. St Kitts & Nevis

Dish: Johnny cake (fried dumpling) with Caribbean fried chicken and coleslaw.

Vegan option: Johnny cake (fried dumpling) with Caribbean fried soya and coleslaw

Cocktail taster: Kittian Sting

Docking up to finish with a slice of Caribbean Rum cake heaven.
